Nepal's Far West region is very remote and has only very few Trekkers but offers amazing national parks with abundant birds and wildlife. You also have perfect high-altitude lakes, such as Rara and Phoksundo. The tourist infrastructure in this region is almost non-existent, so trekking teams need to organize camping trips. For repeat trekkers to Nepal, this region can be highly rewarding. Khapta national park, Shey Phoksundo National Park, the Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve, the Limi Valley, the Bardia National Park, and the Api Nampa Conservation Area are great trekking destinations of the western region.
