Manaslu Region

Manaslu Region away from the crowds Comparable in many ways to the Annapurna and Everest Region. Fairly uncrowded unspoiled and wild region offering a combination of cultural diversity and fantastic mountain scenery. The Tsum Valley and rupina la valley opened very recently, has kept all its culture and authenticity intact.The gompa (monastery) of Sama, in an amphitheater at the foot of Manaslu, marks the entry into Buddhist territory. The Larkya La pass (5135 m), the high point of the route, presents a gently sloping climb, before plunging sharply to reach the lower valleys. Superb panoramas, typical villages inhabited by different ethnic groups.
