Manaslu Region Trips & Itineraries
Manaslu is the eighth highest peak on the earth and one of the most spectacular regions. The Manaslu region offers a combination of cultural diversity and fantastic mountain scenery. This unspoiled and wild region was forbidden until recently (1992). It is one of the lesser-known Himalayan regions offering time travel in Nepal. The high mountain is inhabited by Lamas, devout Buddhists, and lower down, we find mostly Gurungs. The Tsum valley opened to trekkers very recently, has kept intact all its culture and authenticity. It is characterized by its monasteries and Gompas settle on the side of the wall or in the pine forests. This authentic Tibetan valley will amaze you with the variety of its landscapes and richness in flora and fauna.
