trip introduction

Chulu West peak climbing (6419m) The peak is located in the beautiful mid-western part of Nepal. Chulu west trekking peak (6419m) is part of the world-famous trekking route in the Annapurna circuit trek. So, for trekkers who are looking for an adventure in the Annapurna region, chulu west offers the best climbing experience. Chulu West was first ascended in 1952 by a Japanese Expedition. Chulu West is considering the alternative of Mera Peak, But this is more technical than another peak in Nepal.

Summiting Chulu-West is slightly longer for 6419m altitude. A total of 5-6 days are required for climbing due to the difficult terrains but the climb is possible. Chulu west includes some technical climbing sections along with glacier walks and rock climbing. The approach to the summit is as expected strenuous with two high-altitude camps (5200m and 5500m). Proper acclimatizing is important for high-altitude climbing trips. Our trip itinerary planning allows you to acclimatize to higher elevations and give your body to adjust to the altitude. With years of guiding experience, we know that this is the only way for your body to adapt after gaining high altitude.

chulu west peak climbing route and itinerary?

From the Manang, Chulu lader to base camp the route is normally in good condition. Until reaching high camp, from base camp to high camp some steep loose rock on slop area. from base camp to high camp the first part you will climb on a very steep loose rocky part and you need some rock climbing on the fixed rope. sometimes if there is snowfall, you need to walk on snow at 35 degrees until you reach the high camp top. And for the next day’s summit push,  you will slightly walk up and down from south East Ridge to northeast on the glacier. And finally, again you will climb 400m from north east glacier to summit Chulu West. There is some real technical difficulty in some parts in reaching the summit but progress can be slow depending on snow conditions.
