Overview
During the trek, you'll encounter picturesque villages, rolling hills, lush forests, rivers, and charming bridges. The journey starts from Gorkha Bazaar, passing through Daurali Dada and traditional villages with beautiful rice fields. After descending through terraced crops and reaching the village of Thalogau, we'll ascend through a dense forest path to reach the highlight of the trip, Dharchee Kang.

Dharchee Kang is the highest point of the trek and offers breathtaking views of majestic mountains, including Machhapuchhre, the Annapurna massif, the Buddha Himal range, and the Shiringi Himal range in the west-north part. You can also see the Ganesh Himal range, Chamar Himal of the Tsum Valley, Langtang Himal in the northeast, and get a lower view of the Gorkha Valley.

Continuing the trek, we'll pass through Sambe Kharka, Nambe Kharka, and Laprak, a new settlement village (Gupsi) situated in an open area surrounded by rhododendron and pine forests. We'll cross suspension bridges to reach Singla, Khorla, and Khorla Besi, where we will encounter the gorge of the Budi Gandaki River.

We'll also get to enjoy the natural hot springs of Tatopani and cross the Budi Gandaki River again to reach Hulchowk village. Moving on, we'll pass through Runchet, Kerauja, Kashigau, and Yarsa, which are nestled at the foot of Ganesh Himal. From Yarsa, we'll descend through terraced crop fields to reach our final destination, Soti Khola. The next day, we'll reserve a private vehicle to take us back to Kathmandu, concluding our memorable trek.

The Dharchee Kang Trek offers a unique and less-crowded experience with stunning landscapes and mountain views, providing a great adventure for nature enthusiasts and trekking lovers.

Itinerary

DAY 1: ARRIVE IN KATHMANDU

Upon arriving in Kathmandu, our local team will welcome you at the airport. You will then be escorted to the hotel, where you can enjoy some well-deserved relaxation. The itinerary includes a briefing about the trek's progress and presentation, followed by leisure time. If you arrive in the morning, you'll have the entire day. This can be used for rest or for those interested to explore the surroundings freely. It's an ideal chance to experience Nepalese culture and indulge in the local culinary delights.

DAY 2: KATHMANDU TO GORKHA- DEURALI (1,3OOM)

Today, we will have an early breakfast and drive a private jeep to Gorkha by following the Tirshuli River.  After lunch, in Gorkha, we will do sightseeing at Gorkha Durbar and the museum and then continue to Deurali by off-road.

DAY 3: TREKKING FROM DEURALI TO THALO GAU (1,700M)

On Trail is composed mainly of the Brahmin ethnic group, Tamang, and Magar, with their language and culture. Along the way, it is not uncommon to observe men and women in traditional costumes. After a descent through the terraced crops, we go up the other side of the valley to join Thalo village.

DAY 4: TREKKING FROM THALOGAUN TO ULJUNGKANGA (2,200M)

Before the Dharche Kang Thalo is the last village of the Gurung and Magar ethnic group people of Tibetan with their language and culture. After Thalo village, we will ascend on a forest path until the uljung kanga. From there we can observe the Annapurna Himal and Buddha himal.

DAY 5: TREKKING FROM ULJUNG KANG – DHARCHEE KANGA (3,295M) TO SAMBE KHARKA (2,8OOM)

Early departure from uljung,  the path leads to the largest forest and then arrives at Dharchee Kang. Beautiful views of a huge mountain.   After hiking for 4 hours arrived at Dharchee Kang. Unique views of the Buddha Himal, the Ganesh Himal, and further the Annapurna and shiringi range. After passing Dharchee, the path  slightly  descends to the open grassland to samabe kharka

DAY 6: TREKKING FROM SAMBE KHARKA TO LAPRAK NEW SETTLEMENT VILLAGE (2,800M)

Sambe is a beautiful open grassland from where we can see a stunning mountain view 360 degrees. We will hike slowly through a beautiful forest to Nambe. Nambe is famous for its potato farm. From there, we ascent to a Thalkim Kang and Jhurshi Khang then slightly descent to Laprak.

DAY 7: TREKKING FROM LAPRAK TO KHORLA VILLAGE (1,700M)

Today, we departed early. We descend to cross a suspension bridge and slightly ascent to a singla village. Before singla village, the path is narrow and not very good so, while walking we must be very careful. But we will have gorgeous views of the Ganesh Himal range. After we continue in a farming field and pass some small rivers and forests to get a Khorla Kot. From here we descend 200m to reach a khorla village.

DAY 8: TREKKING FROM KHORLA TO HULCHOWK VILLAGE (1,800M)

Today, we descend in a beautiful terrace crop field with a view of Ganesh Himal opposite until khorla beshi(900m) and ahead on the road until a hot spring. We can take a break for a shower in the hot spring and continue and cross the Budi Gandaki river by suspension bridge and arrive at the Dovan village. From there, we ascent in a terrace field and reach hulchowk village.

DAY 9: TREKKING FROM HULCHOWK TO KERAUJA VILLAGE (2,100M)

Today, after passing through the village of Hulchowk, the first part of the trail is good, and you will be walking inside the pine forest, which is a very nice part of the hike. But after going through the jungle, the trail is narrow and a little scary on the side of a large rocky hill. And crossing this part, we have to be careful; a rockfall is sometimes possible. Again, we will continue on the forest path and cross the river by a suspension bridge. Then, we will climb on crop fields for 30 minutes to reach the village of Runchet. Runchet is a beautiful, large Gurung village. We stopped here for lunch. After lunch, we will climb slightly to the Col de Mani. From here we can enjoy the beautiful view of Mt: Buddha Himal and Shiringi Himal and many villages. Then continue up the narrow path through the forest of Rhododendrons and join the Route. However, we continue by road to reach the village of Kerauja. It is a large village inhabited by the Gurungs and Ghales castes.

DAY 10: TREKKING FORM KERAUJA- KASHIGAU TO YARSA (2,000M)

DAY 12: REST DAY IN KATHMANDU

DAY 13: FINAL DEPARTURE TO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Trip Organization
Your Nepalese team may consist of several people, each with different responsibilities. They are:
  • The Guide Leader (Sirdar):  is responsible for and leader of the whole team and is treated with respect by all. Often he has earned his position by starting as a porter and rising through the ranks.
  • The Assistant Guide:  is actively helping clients under the leader’s direction and set camp. 
  • The Cook is responsible for all meals and is on a trek that doesn’t use lodges for meals. 
  • The kitchen boy is an assistant to the cook. ( camping trek )
  • The Porter: is the load carrier for the trekking group. As Nepal is a mountain country with few roads, porters are employed to carry loads. Compliance with regulations and common courtesy dictates the maximum weight carried and the minimum wage paid. Porters are provided with gear based on the routes they follow and with insurance for alpine treks.

Each trekker is allotted the following maximum weights per person:
For Lodge (tea house) Accommodations:15 kg maximum;
Tent Camping: 22 kg maximum; Expeditions/summit ascents: 20 kg maximum. The porters are given a premium wage for carrying loads over 30 kg. 
Additionally, the Alpinist Club ensures that insurance is provided for the guide and porters. They are also equipped with specific gear for crossing high-altitude passe.

Accommodations in Kathmandu
In Kathmandu, you will be accommodated in a hotel. We use different hotels depending on availability. The two preferred hotels are:

Hotel Himalayan Suit: Located in the heart of Thamel, this hotel is ideal for walking the bustling streets of Kathmandu. The spacious rooms all have a bathroom, air conditioning, and Wi-Fi. A fully equipped and active dining room is available for all meals, and the breakfast buffet offers a wide choice of foods. The hotel offers currency exchange, laundry services, and luggage storage.

Sampada Garden: Located just 20 minutes on foot from Thamel and  Durbar Square, this hotel is convenient for exploring Kathmandu. The rooms have all the necessary comforts for your stay: air conditioning, bathroom, and Wi-Fi. Breakfasts are served as a generous buffet. The hotel provides currency exchange, laundry services, and luggage storage.

Accommodation And Meals during the  Trek 
For lodge accommodation: during the Manaslu circuit Trek, you will stay in the lodge or Tea House with twin shared bedrooms. for this trek Meals are prepared by the Lodge's cook and Serve in the dining room. 

Here is a typical one-day menu: 
  • Breakfast: eggs, toast or chapati, or Tibetan bread or pancakes, or pancakes, butter/jam, tea or coffee
  • Lunch: a main course, tea or coffee
  • Dinner: soup, main course, fruit (fresh or canned), tea or coffee. During the trek, tea or coffee is served with meals. Two cups per person are included. Apart from these included menus, other drinks and foodstuffs will be at your expense.
  • Water: We provide water purification tablets. and Recommended to bring refilling bottles with purified water. Avoid buying mineral water due to its environmental impact.
Physical level in Manaslu circuit Trek
This program is designed for those who exercise regularly, especially in endurance activities. You only need to carry a daypack with essentials. The trek lasts 12 days, with daily hikes of 6 to 7 hours and altitude changes between 400 m and 1,350 m. The Larkya Pass (5,150 m) often has snow later in the season.

Preparation for the Trek
Preparing for the trek requires several months of preparation with 4 to 6-hour walks every weekend for stamina and participating in a sport that requires short periods of high exertion.

Medical check-up
Being in good health is essential to fully enjoy your Alpinist Club trip. If your last medical visit was more than four years ago, please get another general physical exam and tell your doctor the nature of your trip (climate, altitude, difficulty, etc.). The altitude also has the effect of reviving dental problems or other chronic pain, so getting a dental checkup is also prudent. If you are undertaking a high-altitude expedition, we advise you to consult a mountain medicine specialist.

Acute Mountain Sickness
This trip takes place at high altitudes, so some people may experience altitude-related discomforts like headaches, loss of appetite, and swelling of limbs. Most of these symptoms usually go away within a few days, but sometimes they can develop into a serious illness: pulmonary or cerebral edema. There are no preventive drugs for AMS. Diamox diuretic is often effective for symptomatic relief, but you should first check with your doctor to verify that it is not contraindicated for you. Think about it before you go.
